David Maddox made his first film when he was 12 years old.  Lucky enough to turn his passion into a career, David was inspired to help others, and founded IdeaMan Studios.  More than a studio, IdeaMan has become a community of like-minded professionals whose skills enable quality productions.

Besides being a producer, David is a screenwriter, director, and a true fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. His favorite things to shoot are action and comedy, but he loves pointing a camera at just about anything.

His credits include multiple short films, web series and commercials. His latest projects cover a broad spectrum: national sports commercials for the Big 12 and AdvoCare’s performance supplements, a campaign for the HCA hospital system, and the award-winning short Alternative Math.  He also produced the Sundance hit, A Ghost Story.  In the course of all this, David has worked with A-list talent including Drew Brees, Richard “The King” Petty, Casey Affleck, Rooney Mara, Mark Cuban, Emmitt Smith, and Troy Aikman.
